The rains have passed.
Days are just a little longer.
What seeds shall we plant today?

The staggering toll of gun violence, especially as it has affected the lives of children the same age as my oldest daughter, who in 1993 was 10 years old, prompted me to create this object and display it publicly. This was one of several objects, which I created during that time that spoke to the rising violence in society.
Based on a poem I wrote, it is a simple box, with flowers laid in an open space.
In 2023, in the United States 23 children were killed by gun violence every day.
